This is a "finished" product and not a blank and is printed on one side only. Our process is not naturally UV resistant, but few processes like that are used on these materials. We recommend the Engineer Grade and High Intensity Prismatic materials for outdoor use. I would not recommend non-reflective vinyl outdoors, but it's fantastic for an indoor sign. Things to know! Vinyl has a subtle gloss to it. EG is reflective but the lowest level, so it has some sparkle - it makes graphics pop and is the best bang for your buck even if you think you don't want reflective. High Intensity Prismatic has a noticeable pattern in the background, and I would only recommend it for custom work if visibility and/or longevity are important factors.
Lifespan varies widely on the print and material. The reflective materials have stated lifespans from the manufacturer - they should remain reflective for 5 - 7 years (EG) or 8 - 10 years (PHI). The print is another story. Some colors DO fade in certain conditions (full sun, harsh conditions) - red goes first, followed by brown. (Something about the pigments?) And then we see orange, yellow, green, blue, etc.
If you are familiar with traffic grade reflective, these are the same materials (EG and PHI). The vinyl is a commercial grade material.
